Director: Alex Graves

Writers: J.J. Abrams (writer)
Alex Kurtzman (writer)

Genre: Drama, Horror, Mystery, Sci-Fi, Thriller.

DESCRIPTION:

(from FOX's press release) FRINGE (Tuesdays, 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT): From J.J. Abrams ("Lost"), Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, the team behind "Star Trek," "Mission: Impossible III" and "Alias," comes a new drama that will thrill, terrify and explore the blurring line between science fiction and reality. When an international flight lands at Boston's Logan Airport and the passengers and crew have all died grisly deaths, FBI Special Agent OLIVIA DUNHAM (newcomer Anna Torv) is called in to investigate. After her partner, Special Agent JOHN SCOTT (Mark Valley,
"Boston Legal"), is nearly killed during the investigation, a desperate Olivia searches frantically for someone to help, leading her to DR. WALTER BISHOP (John Noble, "Lord of the Rings"), our generation's Einstein. There's only one catch: he's been institutionalized for the last 20 years, and the only way to question him requires pulling his estranged son PETER (Joshua Jackson, "Dawson's Creek") in to help. When Olivia's investigation leads her to manipulative corporate executive NINA SHARP (Blair Brown, "Altered States"), our unlikely trio along with fellow FBI Agents PHILLIP BROYLES (Lance Reddick, "The Wire"), CHARLIE FRANCIS (Kirk Acevedo, "Oz") and ASTRID FARNSWORTH (Jasika Nicole, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent") will discover that what happened on Flight 627 is only a small piece of a larger, more shocking truth.

hmmmmmm not sure

the pilot had some good parts, but overall, its wasnt really impressing
although they had to tell the story, so maybe it was that way for a good reason

you totally can see the X-files and Lost references, that black guy is a great actor

also the soundtrack was way too similar to Lost

there's hope

I'm hooked. It pretty much is Lost + X-Files, but I enjoyed it a lot.

And bain, it sounded like Lost music because it WAS Lost music. That's a temp soundtrack in place. You'll notice there was music from Aliens in there as well. I'm guessing that lame music during the opening credits is temporary as well.

The screener also had the sides cut off; the scenes were clearly framed for widescreen.

Also great:

"I just pissed myself."

And the 3-D location text.

Shit. I didn't know it was starting so soon. I have HBO again, so I haven't really been watching the networks at all, and thus, I haven't seen the commercials. I'll have to try to find it online later on.

Wow. Very impressed. I betcha there will be a few seasons of this show. It was hyped as the show of the year and it seemed to deliver.

Oh, Massive Dynamics commercial was GE-esque which I found brilliant.

90 minutes was a little too much, but I enjoyed it.

Thought it was really good, even great at times. But the ending got me REALLY excited for this as a series. Yeah, I'm hooked too.

I really enjoyed pilot..and I didn't think I would.. I missed the 1st 10 minutes because I forgot it was on..

I really liked "Daniels from the Wire" (forget his name) but thought since "Pacey from Dawson Creek" was in it that it was going to be stupid..but it was a good mix. I like the fact that it was in Boston, but had HUGE issues with the Harvard References..like when they said they were at Kresge basement and showed the front of Memorial Hall. I hate to be a downer..but when researchers leave Harvard their lab space is renovated and a new Researcher is moved in within 6 months a lab doesn't stay covered for 17 years. Also, you can't just bring a cow on the campus.
