id rather hear some sort of collaborations with other musicians, mixed with a couple of songs with him singing.

the couple of lines of Black Diamond at MSG2 was embarrassing

I love the man but his fingers only need to do the singing!

He's not too bad once he gets past being nervous.

I would accept an instrumental album.

I'd rather have him get guest vocalists for every track.

i'd be happy to have him write every song on a pearl jam record as long as he stayed away from lyrics

but really instead of solo albums they should just release more than one record every 3 years. that's just not acceptable.

I'd go for something along the lines of Probot where Mike would write the songs and then have a guest list of his favorite vocalists. That'd rule. I don't mind the lyrics to Inside Job. I just mind any attempts of him trying to sing.

Mike's singing at the Hendrix gig he did was fine. Nothing special admittedly but it was a long way from bad.

If Mike is going to write more lyrics Ed is really going to have to co-write them with him. I still can't believe that Ed didn't rewrite some of the lyrics to Inside Job.

What I want to see Mike do more of is jam with other musicians. His playing on the 98 tour was so good because of the playing he had done with other musicians in the couple of years leading up to the Yield sessions. I still think that he is one of the best when it comes to adding colour to songs but some of the solos recently are lacking something to make them special.

I'd love for him to get together with Barrett and Mark Lanegan, I wonder if there was much done for Disinformation.
