Quasi - When The Going Gets Dark
Weiss is obviously oozing with talent, but her kit always sounds brighter than the sun. Her ride and crash have that perfect note of washiness about them and her snare is remarkably crisp.

The Black Keys - Attack & Release
Carney and DM obviously worked overtime on getting sounds that matched each song, as the kit is different on pretty much every track. The cavernous yet flat bass drum of I Got Mine to the extremely loose snare on Things Ain't Like They Used To Be, you can tell that some thought was put into the performance and its capture.

apparently I'm the only person on the planet who feels this way but I like the way lars drums sound on St. Anger

Led Zeppelin-pretty well every album...... out of all their creative hallmarks that are instantly recognizable, I think it speaks volumes that you could call out Zeppelin based on the drum sound
Tool-Aenema, Lateralus
Smashing Pumpkins- Zeitgeist,,, I know, horrible album, right? But goddamn such an in your face drum sound, makes the album a whole lot better, imo.
Black Crowes- The Southern Harmony........
I'm considering the actual performance along with the production style. You don't really think of all the way drums can sound, til you do somehtin like this.
