been a fan of this band for a couple years now, but their new album, Furr, is not only their best yet, but one of the best albums of the year bar none:

I've been loving this new one for the last few days. I heard the title track on Sirius LOC a couple weeks ago and looked into them from there. Just got Wild Mountain Nation last week and haven't even fully digested that one before this one leaked. Lots of cool shit for sure.

Black River Killer
Furr
Gold For Bread
War on Machines
and Echo/Always On/EZ Con

are my favorites on the new one so far.

Furr is a good track. Haven't heard anything else on the record yet but the rest of the songs on their myspace aren't really doing anything for me.

this record has some really great lyrics at times too...

"in my sleep i'm not your lover anymore" from 'Not Your Lover' stands out quite a bit for me

a backwoods Kinks?

maybe some Shins influence... when they rock out there's some southern rock-ish influence as well

I need to listen to this. I think they are opening for Iron & Wine in a couple of months.

I came across some non-album tracks this morning from these guys and there's a funky version of Heart's - Crazy on You, good times.

As for furr... fantastic stuff, it's right near the top for me as well.
