Well i really screwed up this time, i just found out I lost all of my PJ stuff that I had saved on my computer. I still have all of the SBD shows on disc but everything pre 2000 is gone. I had gone thru and picked my favorite version of every song and every cover, i mean every song ever played live. This is something I had been working on for like six odd years. I deleted it thinking I had it burned to a dvd but for some reason even though it said it burned, there was not data on there. 2 questions for you guys, if you can please help!!!
1) is there any way to recover something I deleted? It did not go to my recycle bin as it was to big so I had to click yes when that message came up stating that the data is to large.
2) The best way to start will be torrents; can you guys hook me up with some links? I really have been out of the game since the 05 tour so I am sure there are a lot of new sites out there.
Thanks in advance, hope you guys can come thru for me like you always do!!!
I believe there is software you can use to recover your deleted files. Do a google search. I'm getting a program called 'recuva'...it's a free trial, but you can probably get it for free somewhere...

Regardless if the data is or is not in your recycle bin, it's still on the disc... unless you've ran anything like defrag or written any large amounts of data to the disc. Most sorts of disc optimization can also be a problem here.
I've done some extensive data recovery on non-physically damaged discs, and it can be tricky, but if the disc hasn't been used much, most data can be recovered, even after a format.
Norton makes a pretty nice recovery CD that does some data recovery. I've also used SpinRite to do some prep work for data recovery.
If you are a bit of a novice and computery stuff or not comfortable trying these sorts of things, and don't have anyone locally to do it, I'd be glad to at least take a look at the drive and see what can be done. If the data can't be recovered and assuming the drive is still good, I'd just make it a HD&P offer for you to help you get a good collection going again.
thanks for all the replies. I work at a school so i will go talk to the tech guys and see what they can do for me. I am not real good at this kinda of stuff!!! I will keep you psoted and again thanks!!!!!!
maybe diskwarrior-i have used the disc to recover music data
