It seems to only be with what though. I go to a Bruce Springsteen torrent site and can upload like crazy. I can do ok with certain torrents from what. Right now I'm on ratio watch, so I uploaded a CD. Two people are trying to get it from me, and for around two days I have only shared about .210. If this was the Bruce site I would probably be at 3.5 or more depending on demand. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Try setting the torrent priority to high. What's your up speed at compared to Bruce?

I tried that actually. For most torrents at what I don't seem to get above 2.0 and the connection isn't stable. At the Bruce site it's stable and easily 30, 40, or more.

Are your ports open if you're using a router?

As far as I know. Why would it work for one site but not as well for what? That's confusing me.

some sites autoblock various ports. Try using a random number outside the normal port parameters.

I've tried that, but I'll try again. Thanks.

Nah, not really. I can upload here and there, but it doesn't seem to be consistent or very good.

d'oh! sometimes there isn't much consistent to torrents, via upload & download speed. all depends on the other end users too. and how fast they upload & download too.

I didn't mean to imply it is consistent just that my uploading seems to be very bad usually. Although I seem to do much better with flac. I upped an album in flac today and this guy had no trouble connecting to me or getting the album. That doesn't usually happen.

that proves there's nothing wrong with your connection, utorrent or what.cd (if that's where you're seeding ) since the content is of no importance to the connections.

All that it shows is that when you're the only one seeding, and someone with a good connection is leeching, it works fine.

what and other music trackers are not a good place to test your speed, there's way too high a seeder/leecher ratio, unless you're the one first leaking a popular album.

try leeching then seeding on 0-day trackers (people with good connections generally) or TV shows on mininova/pirate bay (low seeder/leecher ratio since most people hit&run)...that's where you might be able to max the speed.
