Not many I would guess, I just got 10 discs and postage was like $2.

Depends on what you mail them in. Mine are always 1.34 for 2, though, in a bubble mailer or one of the small hard disc mailers.

At the APC, it'll process and successfully mail for $1.00

At the counter, they'll hit you with an "over 1/4 inch thick" charge, and it'll be $1.34

I sent two parcels of 8 disks interstate with no stamps (forgot) and both got there fine. So I suggest none.

Those damn efficient and highly trained window clerks!! Oh wait, that's me! Just so you know, if you use the APC and don't add the surcharge, there is the possibility of an Eagle-eyed sorter noticing how thick a package is and we try to collect the difference from the recipient or send it back for more postage. The other thing that could happen is that the carrier is told to collect and many times they pay the shortage themselves!
Anyway there is a very easy to use rate chart on the USPS website and any cheap scale that you can buy in a store (they are in housewares) is usually accurate enough to do the job.In addition, there is an international mandate to let any packages to or from a certain "Demetrios" to go through no matter what!

Yep, this is why I don't fuck around. I have had b+p packages returned to me for more postage, I have had APC packets come back if I print the postage and mail it the next day, I have been yelled at in the manager's office for using tape with skulls on it. I just make sure it has more than enough if I am guessing and let it fly. Much less stressful for me.

I saw a mention of skull tape a while back, but didn't know what that was about!! I know it seems ridiculous...too bad things weren't different...however, being taken into the manager's office and yelled at??? WTF? That seems a bit much!!! Fuckin' management...grrrr. I apologize for their over the top reaction!!

It's ok. I rebelled for a little while and used it on packages sent out when I didn't have to go to the counter, but I figured it wasn't worth the fight. And all of the counter people know me so..

And I guess it wasn't technically yelled at, more of a stern "talking to" and a refusal to accept any more packages from me.
