this game has been released on 360, PS3, and PC.

it is a beautiful and unique game. i haven't played the other far cry games but i think this is very original.
i had fun playing the single player and multiplayer last night.

i touched a little bit on the map-making and i was so overwhelmed that i decided to leave it alone and just go to bed...otherwise i would have been up all night building maps.

if you guys haven't seen it, check it out right here:

http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/1422 ... 81808.html

this is really gonna blow your mind. there are so many ways to build a map that you could never ever run out of maps to play in your whole lifetime.

simply amazing!

so true.
but this map-making deal just makes it stand out.

i dabbled in map-making again last night and realized how difficult it is to make a quality well thought out map. i could certainly throw a bunch of buildings together but it will look pretty ugly if i dont take any time for it.

if i did take my time making a map, the map editor certainly allows you to be as creative as you want and the possibilities are endless.

yes.
all maps made are published and uploaded to the main server where others can look it up and download for themselves to keep. other players can also take your map and edit it.
when player created maps are played by others for the first time...they have the opportunity to rate it. so there is incentive to create a great map because you can have one of the best rated ones and that created map will always carry your signature (your gamertag) on it.
