Which game will you get this year? I'm leaning towards MLB but MVP looks great too.

Gotta go with 2k5.

20 bucks. way better graphics, the last one before the merger. improved play control over espn 2k4, prolly as good or better than ea's eh game.

ea's offering always looks like theres a fire next door with the gray like colours and bad stadium designs. last year they didnt realize the o;s went to orange scripted jerseys. thats just lazy since the unis have to be submitted a year before. (exception senators_ i mean nationals)

2k5 for sure,

next year it will be ea;s espn whatever. makes me sick.

but i hear ea will not have a baseball game next yr due to liscining (sp)

What happned to Akklaims All Star series?

So far MLB is ok. It's better than last year, but last years wasn't that great. I've been hearing that this year both games are pretty weak. What do you guys think on MVP?

so far heres my take on MVP 05:

Same game as last year as far as PLAYING it.

Way too much to worry about when not playing. It takes an hour to create a player now since you now have to adjust your 2 hitting zones, and rate your player against every pitch 4 times.......

New OWNERS MODE would be cool if it werent SOOOO detailed. and Build a Ballpark is crap, they fucked this up. You basically start out with a sandlot and you have to aquire money and buy things like scoreboards, seats, vendors, stores.....its pretty shitty.

And its even SLOWER now to sim a full season as you have 3 minor league teams....it took 45 minutes to sime ONE fucking year......my fav part of this game used to be simming whole seasons and playing GM and doing contracts and stuff.....not in 2004 or 2005 because the sim function is like Atari-style slow

overall i am very disappointed in this game. I know im not one of these freak players who wet themselves over all these functions, but they made this game so people like me are turned off by it.

im actually rather ticked off about it. like someone said, its MVP 2004 with updated rosters.

the Owners mode is junk, and the create a stadium is a joke. they ruined a brilliant idea there. and it takes almost a full hour in real time to simulate one whole season....im hugely disappointed.
