Is it me, or are these reminders that Mikey is one of the most skillfull guitarists ever?

Name the shows that contain your favorite Immortality guitar solo.

So far, I'm in love with 6/20/95 and 7/2/03.

Mine would have to be East Troy '03. It was this version that made me fall in love with the song :o

11/6/95 is my current fav version of Immortality.

Benaroya has a nice 12-string solo.

6/2/03 isnt bad.....its pretty cool actually....he only plays about 3 notes for the whole solo.......

But those three notes are about as badass as you can get....;)

this is a thread made in heaven for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the live debut of this song on 4/11/94 and then witnessed it fifth row center nearly nine years later on 7/2/03...(thanks 10c!)

as "somewhat" of an expert: here's my vote:

all time best= Alpine Valley 03,
even better than my Boston show, that good!

1st runner up = Chicago 1995 Soldiers Field
(I heard lighting struck in the distance during that solo- really)

2nd runner up= 10/5/00 Toronto (with Eddie's imorov intro, simply sonic!)

honorable mention = 10/28/03 Santa Barbara
(anyone with this boot knows Mike almost blows out your speakers on the solo in a very accoustic setting!)

My 2 cents..

Curious if you've heard the Melbourne 98 version I mentioned above...

Yes!
I was there for that and Immortality was one of the highlights.
It was awsome how, for the start of the solo, Mikey faced the speakers and just bent that one note for a while.
kick ass!

Berlin 96, or Buffalo 96. Buffalo is better Mike-wise, but Eddie fucks up really badly.

okay, i cant believe nobodys mentioned east troy 6-27-98 yet...incredible haunting solo, and overall a seven and a half minute version with a crashing drum solo at the end to close the main set...maybe the most 'immortal' version of them all, in my opinion!
