I have a challenging bootleg situation for some kind soul willing to tackle it: The Elephant 6 Orchestra performance in Chicago. I think a 3-source matrix would absolutely be the bomb to make up for the shortcomings of all 3 recordings. Here's what we've got:
1. NPR soundboard: mp3 only, missing 3 songs and in-between chatter, very tame mix 2. DSM-6S/EL (my tape): up front, great instrumentation, separation, and bass response. Vocals very low, 2 songs were done at back of audience and sound very poor 3. Unknown mics: In the back, lots of vocals and treble, weak on drums and bass. GREAT quality on 2 of the 3 missing songs (ones done at the back), unknown on the 3rd.
I also have two sources from a Built to Spill show in 2005 that would be great mixed together, but this one is way more important to me.
Anyone willing to take it on?
