Eddie Vedder adopts strict diet to detox

Eddie Vedder, the lead singer of rock band Pearl Jam, has adopted a strict diet and detox regime after wrapping up his latest tour.
Vedder is giving up cigarettes and drinking a lot of salt water to flush the toxins out of his body that he might have consumed while touring.
"It's been a long couple of years ... being on the road a lot. I'm ready to clean up my act. I just finished touring, and I'm on a detox thing. It's a heavy detox, so nothing in my belly except water, salt and cayenne pepper. It also means I'm not smoking."
But he added that the detox was having a strange effect on him.
"This is four days in. But it does feel weird. I'm feeling different. I'm walking around in a daze," Vedder said.

Such a silly concept. You cannot just cleanse your system out like it is a dirty dish. Eat healthy, exercise, remove the bad habits, and he would probably be doing his body and mind a much better service. I doubt all the salt water in the world and peppers in the universe is going to do shit for your brain or respiratory system. Maybe he will have a clean stomach though if he does not burn a hole through it.

Its actually really good short term. It does cleanse the system, but if you go back to your regular habits then yes ....i ts terrible for you. however, if you do it for short term, and start from a "clean slate" so to speak, it can be really...helpful...i wont say healthy cause..doing such aggressive things to your body is never any good...but for a short term "kick in the ass" to cleanse your system...it does work...
But yea, if you go abck to your old habits...youll gain the weight and hurt yourself ten fold...

well that happens when you consume 3 calories per day as seems to be the case here.

What worries me that I know Ed is the type that tries all "trendy" shit, but doing what would really help like stop smoking at once for all he wont.
