Stupid move for Dallas.

Parcells is grasping at straws here going for former glory.

Bledsoe is slow and old, similar to Testaverde. The cowboys line can't protect him. If they lose Julius Jones again and have to rely on the pass they are fucked.

Stupid move, they should have looked to some one younger and more able to avoid the inevitable rush. I guess they got him cheap anyway. I just don't expect anything more out of Bledsoe than I expected from Testaverde

at least he won't be that expensive and he's got Jason Witten and some decent wide recievers.

He's workable I guess but not all that great for the long term at all. He's already 33 and a 12 year veteran.

He is a significant upgrade and if you protect him he'll kill you but I just don't know if the Cowboys line can do that.

He did have 20 TD's last season. Good Luck anyway.

compared to Vinny he's practically a rookie.

Paco, if you honestly think this is a stupid move, I'm dissappointed. After watching how many games Vinny killed BY HIMSELF, I am desperate for somebody that will at least make the other offense work for it. Vinny played ONE solid game all year and that was the Seattle game, and even that one he tried to give away. There was never ONCE an offensive series where I thought the Cowboys had a legitimate chance to score when Vinny was behind center. When he threw, I cringed. I honestly don't care if he's a minor step up, because that minor step can easily give you a playoff birth in the NFC.

And Henson should NOT be starting this year... I hate the idea of throwing away a season, and gladly so does Parcells. At least with Bledsoe in the lineup we've got somebody who has the potential to make big plays... if you think Drew is washed up I don't want to know what Vinny is... hell, he handed the Steelers that game on a silver platter... ADIOS Vinny... don't let the door hit cha where the good lord split cha.

And the offensive line underachieved in '04... there is no reason to think that for another QB, they can block... no reason at all... they are an incredibly solid group that got in trouble with penalties early and kind of quit on Vinny early in the year... I'd be surprised if Drew doesn't have time to throw most downs.

in retrospect, not a stupid move. He is 8 years younger than VT and he's a proven NFL QB, but 12 years in? He can read defenses, he loves TE's and he's got some speed out wide and meshawn to catch underneath stuff. He could be a lot better than VT, I just don't understand going to another older QB that is not mobile at all. If they do protect him, it should be a great year for Dallas, if he's on the ground half as much as David Carr, they've got issues.

I guess I'm just kind of shaking my head here because I don't think Drew Henson is all that good and Bledsoe is not going to play that many more years. If they don't overpay him it could be a steal. He really isn't all that different from Aikman in terms of playing style.

Hey man, if Dallas somehow puts together the best offensive line in the history of organized team football, you'll do just fine.

Otherwise, I predict armageddon.

Was Vinny the reason that the D gave up 405 points too? They were tied for the 2nd most in the NFC. Just wondering what you thought about that. I know Vinny is old and didn't look his best last year but lets not blame him for the whole season going down the drain. The Defense was the reason there was such a dropoff from 2003 to 2004.

it wasnt all his fault... but when the offense cant string drives together, it doesnt help the defense rest, which is essential

losing Jones for most of the season didn't exactly help the offense either.

guys like Eddie George and Richie Anderson aren't exactly quality RB's at this point.

Our defense sucked last year, but Vinny was that much worse. Period.
