Call it a bit of irony that I start a thread celebrating the creme of the crop of music videos over the years on this of all boards...
And I think honestly only really worth doing if you have Youtube takes as RM here does, thank god, I've seen plenty of other forms that don't have them (don't even have IMG tags).
Let's get 2 obligatory ones out of the way right off the bat, for obvious reasons.
Okay wow, I know what I just said about YT tags, but haven't got much choice here but to use the URL. I don't think I've ever seen this before, it's bizarre. Literally every single video I found on there that's the official music video for "Jeremy" (whether the "uncut" version or not), it says "embedding disabled by request". Although, there's also a little icon I've never seen on a page before that's on all of them, even ones upped just by regular joe users, it says "contains content by" and an official looking tiny graphic of SONY BMG. So I can only assume that they've gotten control of every single UL of Jeremy that's on the site and made sure nobody can embed any of them anywhere else. Wild.
(actually it looks like Sony had nabbed most of them as well and disabled embedding, but obviously this one slipped thru the cracks) -----------------
The first non-PJ video, this is actually the main inspiration for starting this thread now. I heard this song at work last night and remembered how much I loved this video from my childhood. Sure this band made plenty of vids over their career, but this has to be by far their most creative and ambitious.
I remember being kinda freaked out as a little kid by the one bit of imagery of the Reagan doll's face coming up slowly out of that pitch black pool of water -------------------

Aww man I'm so bummed, for that version of "Jam On It" they cut out one of my favorite parts of the song, where he goes into the "Well Superman looked up at me, he said you rocked so naturally... " etc etc
