Is this good or bad? I think I saw the pilot but I was kind of sleepy so I'm not entirely sure if it was any good. It seemed OK.

Anyhow, I'm thinking of picking up both seasons on DVD so informed opinions will be most appreciated.

I like the show a lot. I haven't seen it in about a year because of a canceled HBO subscription but I reccomend it.

One of the best shows on television, along with Scrubs and Arrested Development. I'd highly recommend picking up the DVD's.

I love Larry David, but I'd check out one or two of the episodes before investing in the whole box. I've found that it's an acquired taste, you either love the show or hate it.

 Good shit!! I've got the first three seasons on DVD and they're all worth the money! Larry David is a comedic genius IMO.... similar to Seinfeld in parts but funnier due to the adult content.

it is of my opinion that the second season of this show is the funniest season of any comedy in television history (or at least since i've been watching)

We just watched the last disc of Season 3 the other night, and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard as I did at the end of the last episode, with the restaurant opening. When Jeff yells, "Cock! Cock! Jizm! Grandma! Cock!" I almost fucking died.

I find it an even dryer comedy than Seinfeld. If you love Seinfeld you'll probably like Curb. I have some friends who disliked Seinfeld and love Curb. It is more adult oriented than Seinfeld.

If you don't subscribe to HBO (like myself), the DVDs are a great idea.

Season 2 is great, Season 3 is a little sillier - more like Seinfeld, and Season 1 is good but suffers from a few bland episodes and periods of sub-par acting.
