I know I'm a Big Philly fan but I really think Allen Iverson is one of them players. Can you remember a player who at his height has done the kind of things he has done? Just look at his stats this year nearly 30 pts. 8 asst. and 2 steals per game not to mention the way he puts his body on the line. The guy is unreal with his energy and effort that he puts in game in and agme out. You can say what you will about his off the court things but there is no other player in the NBA that will give the effort that he does and at his level.

Since when has AI been unappreciated?
I just think he is one of those once in a generation, or even lifetime players that does some bad things and sometimes it overshadows the greatness that he has.
Mike Bossy, the greatest pure goal scorer of all time
not sure he, or any of the star players of the Islanders dynasty, were
underappreciated.
I remember growing up, the guy was on the back page of Newsday every other day........

I have always thought Willie McGee was very underrated. He always hit .300+. Played on some championship teams. He also holds the record for the longest neck in mlb.
