Lately I have discovered and watched many short TV series (because of cancellation...): Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, Undeclared... I find it great to follow characters over a single season, and not being caught in an endless TV series that eventually jumps the shark...

British TV series are great, with 6 episodes per season: Spaced, Coupling, The Office...

Any recommandations of short (around 2 seasons, 20 episodes) but great TV series ?

your elipses might mean you know of gervais and merchant's sophomore effort "extras," but if not, check it out. 2 six episode seasons and then a special, just like the office. you can expect another special sometime in the future (maybe next xmas) as gervais is already asking actors to be in it.

flight of the conchords has had one short season and while the second season comes out in january, i'm pretty sure it's the last.

and yes, band of brothers is awesome.
