Unless I missed the discussion on this elsewhere, here they are:

Newcomers
*Jay Bell
*David Cone
*Ron Gant
*Mark Grace
*Rickey Henderson
*Jesse Orosco
*Dan Plesac
*Greg Vaughn
*Mo Vaughn
*Matt Williams

Holdovers
*Harold Baines
*Bert Blyleven
*Andre Dawson
*Tommy John
*Don Mattingly
*Mark McGwire
*Jack Morris
*Dale Murphy
*Dave Parker
*Tim Raines
*Jim Rice
*Lee Smith
*Alan Trammel

Rickey is a sure thing. None of the other new guys on the list will even sniff 75%.

Maybe Dan Plesac.

what about mcgwire and jim rice?

rickey, blyleven, mcgwire and probably rice (he got 72 percent last year, yea?), though i think trammel is deserving.

Fixed.

I'd like to see Blyleven in. He deserves it. I'd like to see Raines pick up some more votes this time around. Rice will likely get in. :? It's his last chance, correct?

I think Henderson, Blyleven, Rice and Smith should be in. Morris probably should as well at some point.

If Dennis Eckersley's first ballot, how can Rivera not be?

I think so.

Here's another random question: Does Juan Gonzalez get in when his time comes? I only ask because his numbers are very similar to Rice's.

Also, I didn't realize Morris and Dawson had that many votes last time. I don't think either of them are good enough to get in. Maybe Dawson, but not Morris.

i agree.

what about trevor hoffman, the all-time saves leader? or john franco, who sits 4th? billy wagner, 6th all-time?

if smith gets in, i don't see how those three don't, because i think they're all about as good (franco) or better (hoffman and wagner) than smith.

is this a serious question? He's the best reliever of all time, he's almost as much of a lock as Henderson.

Morris and Rice should get in this year, not sure about anybody else.

not really.

and morris shouldn't get in, not this year, probably not ever. there's no way morris should be in and blyleven not. that's a joke.

Morris was a #1 starter for years and was the most clutch playoff pitcher i've seen in my lifetime. If there was a Game 7 there isn't another pitcher alive i would want to pitch that game. Too much is made about stats and not enough about what these guys did when it mattered most. And as much as i defend Morris it's even worse that Rice isn't in.

Moo Vaughn should be first ballot for screwing up the extremely long name Angels franchise.
