Anyone here else a fan?
This band has to be one of the BEST bands out there. They keep everything simple and fun. Listen to any album of theirs, and you can sense that. In Surfer Rosa, it was non-stop rocking songs.
I saw them in Coachella, and I must say that was one of the BEST shows I EVER been to. The energy from the fans and the band was overwelming. The Pixies can make you dance with their infectious songs!!
i wish i had a ticket to see the pixies. i wish i had the money to pay for said ticket. i wish a lot. i wish they'll come back after i'm done paying tuition.

Doolittle and Surfer Rosa are great
The other ones, not so great. Actually Doolittle is probably one of my favorite albums.

I Come on Pilgrim, Surfer Rosa and Doolittle (and, to a lesser extent, Bossanova and Trompe le Monde...). They don't seem to be headed my way for any concert though.
I loooooove the pixies too, I saw them in Coachella (main reason for the trip to california from mexico).
I think bossanova is really underrated, there are some great songs on there, I thoroghly enjoyed the live at the bbc cd they have.

Bossanova definitely is an under-appreciated album.
Saw them twice this tour...and they were terrific. Santiago's solo during Vamos was very impressive. If I was to guess, I'm sure they'll tour in 2005 as well.

I am really bumped out that I won't see them saturday, it's my birthday and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than a dose of Mars Volta +Pixies.
Whatever I do that day instead will be pale to what I am gonna be missing

A better way to celebrate would be Pixies + TV on the Radio.

I am not familiar with TV on the radio but I heard two songs that I liked called walking the cow and satellite, that I have in a CD mix I made.
Yet another band I need to check out further.
For the time being, Darn I love Mars Volta sound.. I always wanted to see what they sound like live. Bah....Another time.

I've just started to get into them, and it's been a real treat.
On a side note, how many have noticed that Where Is My Mind is playing at the end of Fight Club?
One of the best closing songs to a movie, ever!
I saw the Pixies at the Austin City Limits Music Festival last month, and it was an amazing show! I was at the back of a huge crowd and the sound system wasn't all that great, but it was still amazing. I saw Frank Black and the Catholics a few years ago in a small intimate club setting (the indoor stage at Stubb's in Austin) and that show was awesome, too! They even played Wave of Mutilation, which had the crowd going crazy.

watching the beastie boys following them on the bill was beyond belief as well.
