i just got back from a midnight animation screening.

This was dark, really chillingly mind-bending. The film has a great visual style and the content to match it. this made me feel as if I were crazy.

I've seen this one before at the animation show. I think what I've seen of Bill Plympton is okay. The drawings are great, but I'm not a fan of his slower frame rates. It's not bad, it's just a little slow for me.

Fantastic. I'm a huge Don Hertzfeldt fan, and this was no disappointment. He was at the screening and he spoke at the Q+A. It'll probably be the highlight of the trip other than seeing an audience watch my film. (assuming I only have two hands that's really good)
WESTERN SPAGHETTI (Director: PES) — Everyday objects become delicious ingredients as we learn how to cook spaghetti through stop-motion.
This is fantastic, it was also a part of the Animation show in '08. It is so damn charming. See it here.

This film was the biggest surprise, I knew nothing of the filmmakers or the story. I thought it was up there with Don Hertzfelt's movie.

This was in the animation show too. I loved it both times. I believe anyone can enjoy this film, its dark yet spirited.
All in all a great night of animation, and animators which inspired me for my next projects. It's been great so far. I got tickets to a stephen soderberg panel on tuesday which should be great.
