I feel like a lot of time in my life has been wasted in not hearing this song til about a week ago.

Sometimes I feel like I'm wasting my life if I'm not listening to a Jason Molina record at all times. I listened to "The Lioness" today while correcting papers. Hot damn, what a record.

nah, that's the second-best song on the album, "just be simple."

yeah the record really falls into a pit with the two non-Molina songs. Oh well

All I know about this dude is that he renamed his band after his last album a la The Microphones. Someone get me into this, please, or tell me why I wouldn't like it.

Well The Magnolia Electric Co. (the album by Songs: Ohia) seems to be a good bit different from the rest of the Ohia material I've heard. Long, Neil Young-esque kind of rock. Didn't It Rain is the Ohia record I'm most familiar with, and it's way darker and mostly acoustic, I guess. then there's Ghost Tropic, which is about the most depressing shit I've ever heard in my life.

Youtube "Farewell Transmission" and if you're not instantly in love, I'd say the guy isn't for you.

EDIT: rather, if you're not instantly in love, I'd say music in general isn't for you.

Yeah, I figured out which one FT is. In doing so I discovered that you guys are nuts, because Just Be Simple is a much better song.
