don't buy a cheap one from walmart. you cant see anything at all out of those, at least in my experience

i highly recommend everyone looking through a telescope. seeing the moon is one thing and usually all anyone cares about but i swear once u see a planet or galaxy with your own eyes its humbling and empowering. we are intelligent enough to see our surroundings and realize how incredibly tiny things get.

people think an atom is small but the earth compared to the universes is like finding something deep inside an atom after increasing magnification for millions of years. aka we think we know the smallest part of an atom but search even further and u may find an earth

I have one sitting in my attic that I got for Christmas when I was, oh I dunno, probably 8 or so. I think I'm going to bring it back to school this quarter and see what me and my friends can make of it after smoking a bunch of weed.

Who the fuck gets an 8 year old a telescope for Christmas, anyway? More like a project for my dad to work on. I think we used it once.
