im vaguely religious... vaguely. im certainly not one to take offense at this kind of humor. in fact, im for it. mainly because i think organized religion needs to be taken down a few pegs.

i dont like bill maher though. hes funny sometimes, but i couldnt watch his brand of humor for that long. his preaching would probably come off as pretentious and .... well, silly... as the things he tries to mock. its like dressing up in a costume and complaining about people who go out on halloween.

i guess what im saying here is that bill maher and organized religion can go fuck themselves, for the most part.

i should probably qualify my last comment by mentioning that i have not seen this film... so if i am way off base here, thats why.

i HAVE however seen congregations and what goes on in church, and i am largely unimpressed. my criticism for that venue stands.
