Everyone Else gets one. This guy gets one.

Congrats on Rookie of the Year.

Mike Vick feels like 1000 light years ago. Bobby who?

Matt Ryan is awesome. Chuck Norris's Wheaties Box has Matt Ryan on it.

This was the first year in the last five I did not attend a game.

I cussed at the tv on draft day when they picked Ryan. I was dead wrong about him.

The only thing that bothers me is his footwork. It has been very sloppy the last few weeks. Last week against Minn. he was falling back on every throw.

Congrats Matty...beat Arizona.

I was too. I was very worried the week before the draft when the rumors started hitting hard that Miami was taking him. I'm happy with Long, and things are obviously setting up nicely for us. But I really couldn't have been more wrong about Ryan.

Yeah he grew up in Exton I think. It's pretty funny I was in near Reading all last week in Berks County near where Chad Henne and Kerry Collins played HS ball. Must be something in the water.

1) got rid of MV7 so no more of my sticking up for him trying to put lipstick on the pig that is..... Mike Vick cares little to nothing about being a good NFL player.

2) Bobby Petrino is a shady ass hole of a human being, he was shady when he came to the Falcons selling out his players in Louisville and he was shady when he left.... I was pissed off last year, but it was the best day ever in retrospect. Mike Smith is actually a really cool very likeable guy.

just from this outsider's perspective, I thought Mora Jr. got a bad rap

I was dead wrong. I did the same thing. I was pissed. That was the old Falcons. These are Matt Ryan's falcons. The team that wins games in the last second. The team that turns the ball over 3 times and still wins.

Imagine if Jamal Anderson was actually worthy of being an NFL player? Keith Brooking hadn't lost 5 steps.... Dominique Foxworth is really our best CB? REALLY?

Yeah Matt Ryan is freaking special.

I could only watch the highlights and updates of the Rams game and I only got a brief listen as I was driving to the Minnesota game. I think Ryan is tired. Rookie wall. The footwork is probably contributing to the interceptions. That's cool. When I'm sitting in a bar in Pennsylvania, watching the Raiders win the Saints almost pull off a miracle it's 24-24 Falcons vs Rams and my Eagles fan Brother in law says.... I know ya worried right?

Nope. Not anymore. Falcons will win. No worries. This week it was Jerrious Norwood, but Matt Ryan is a HUGH Suprise to me.

yes and no. Is he a good coach? I think so. He will do better in Seattle where he's more comfortable anyway.

He made too many bad decisions here. One major one was hiring a west coast ONLY guy in Greg Knapp to be the OC with Mike Vick. THat was really really stupid. Other than that the general undiciplined attitude killed him with the crew that was here. They didn't work hard enough. They won early and failed down the stretch every year after the 1st.

They had enough talent to win at the time, but he and his crew weren't able to do anything with it at the time. It took him two years to finally get Bill Musgrave to bird dog Mike Vick and get him to work on his mechanics so he could put anything on target.

The only kind of offense Mike Vick has and will ever thrive in is Verticle. Run Game, Deep Pass is pretty much the extent of his ability. Dan Reeves got that immediately, Jim Mora Jr/Knapp never quite did until the end. I think Mora learned a lot here that he will use very well in the next gig.

What's kind of funny is that after he goes away for 2 years the Wildcat/spread elements start popping up.... where was this with Mike Vick?

The Falcons Paid a severe price for Firing Dan Reeves. Reeves was a great coach... and a bad GM. They should have just fired him from the GM job and kept him a couple more years.

I had the pleasure of watching this guy for a few years while he was at BC. He's got a lot of character to go along with his talent. I wish him nothing but the best.

I've had a budding man crush on Matt Ryan since the Bears game. I was happy they picked him in the draft but wasn't expecting rewards so soon. This guy is going to be a winner. I don't know yet if he'll be the next Manning/Brady but Ryan is going to be a good one for a long time. Maybe he has hit a bit of a wall the last 3 games but he is only to get better. You can already tell he has the support and high expectations of the players.
Outsiders can't fully understand the divide among the fanbase left by Vick abrupt departure. Even those that had enough of MV7 ( ) felt the stinging failure of Petrino and were ready to move. Matt Ryan & Co has made the Falcons relevent again; not just in Atlanta but in the league.
Ryan, Coach Smith, Dimitroff; I'm actually anticipating future Falcon seasons!

He is already better than I thought he would be. I thought he would be a bust.

That said, all the Ryan for MVP consideration stuff is pretty ridiculous to me.

I hadn't really seen that much of him on TV during the season but I saw him in person at the San Diego game. He made a believer out of me. He made a couple throws to Peele and White that made him look like a 5 year veteran. Looks like he has a lot of poise and throws a nice deep ball. He's also very fortunate that he has Michael Turner and Norwood in the backfield though. With that being said I'll be at the game Saturday...Go Cards!

Ryan played pretty well tonite, especially for a rookie QB. It was not his fault that they lost and the ATL has to feel good about what the future brings to their franchise. Congrats on an amazing year that was completely unexpected.

Chris Johnson deserved ROY.

I said it, now hate me. I'm prepared. If the Mike Vick situation didn't happen he wouldn't have won.

That being said I think he's a great QB and definitely something to be excited about, I just don't think he deserved ROY over some others.

I think Forte had a great season too. 1700 totall yards and 12 td's is nothing to sneeze at.

That's fine, you're a Titans fan, there is one award, I'd expect Ravens fans to call boosh and say Flacco should have received it.

It's a mainly meanless piece of wood and metal anyway. Since it's voted on by the media and they get a hard on with QB's that's why he got it I think.

Matt Ryan certainly did more for an absolutely horrible Falcons team than Chris Johnson did for a team with one of if not the best defenses in the league. He's going to the pro bowl, that's a better reward anyway.

Our offensive line is better because of Matt Ryan and Michael Turner, they still suck balls and that was evident yesterday as they made the Arizona Cardinals look like a fantastic defense and they didn't look like that all year.
