Over the years, I've lost several discs of my seasons 3-9 Simpsons sets. Does anyone know if you can replace these (legally or not)?

If you can do torrents you could always get the eps that way. If not, I don't know. Ebay maybe?

Well, yea individual eps are often relatively easily gotten via torrents as bart d suggested, though if you're concerned about having direct copies in actual disc form so as to retain all the special features and whatnot, well those can also be gotten by torrents, but in my experience quite a bit harder to snag. I think my best advice would be to get at least a trial subscription to either Netflix or Blockbuster Total Access (what I have) and simply put right at the top of your queue just the individual discs that you're missing, you can get just individual discs (not like you have to get a full season shipped to you at once) and use common software like DVD Decrypter or Shrink to make copies of them once you've got them.

I've been using Blockbuster's plan in exactly this fashion since the spring time to grow my TV-on-DVD collection exponentially. I've got everything available on series like The West Wing, House, The Twilight Zone, and now in the midst of copying over the 2 season collection of Twin Peaks.

so say i "get" the episodes on my computer.

I've never burned DVDs, so I may need some help with this.

Can I burn 4-5 eps on a DVD and watch them? How does that work if there's no menu or anything?

Most dvd burning programs will burn them with menus by default. (I like Ultra DVD Creator - it's pretty cheap and it doesn't take up a shitload of space with functions that nobody needs, like Nero does.) You can probably fit four or so to a disc without sacrificing video quality.

S1-11 DVDRips are on permanent free leech (like all season packs, there's site-wide free leech at the moment too) on TB.
I think registration is open at the moment though I'm not sure (there's no invite system)
