I haven't traded or downloaded any torrents for a while. A week ago I decided to see what's new. I was surprised to see youkanland offline  I remembered jam river wasn't as popular at the time but had some good stuff so I checked it out. Their site is really nice. I was able to completely download a DVD. Now when I'm trying to seed it my client says:

Quote:
Unrecognized host <my IP> - go to http://jam-river.com/pjtorrent to sign up or login. -idle

I tried logging into the site but it's saying my account is disabled. I contacted the jam river fellows and they responded that my account was disabled due to low ratio. This makes sense, It was a large dual-layer DVD. I responded that I'm actually trying to seed a torrent to increase my ratio. They responded:
Quote:
"The only way to increase your ratio is to donate."

Nice. I know it costs money to run a tracker and everything, and maybe I could be persuaded into seeing it from a different point of view, but forcing users to "donate" to increase ratios just seems wrong.

Are there any other dedicated PJ torrent trackers out there?

there isn't afaik
just create a new account?

I haven't really much used Jam in a while tbh.. I got fed up with the hit and run mentality (I did keep a shit load of stuff running on youkan, highest seeder in number of torrents by a long margin for quite a while, top 5 total upload... but at jamriver, the seeders count was going down so quickly, frankly wasn't worth my bandwidth and I kept it for youkan. Now youkan is dead and I can't be bothered re-hashing everything on jam. when I did try, before a crash lost my uploads, several people moaned or PMd me within 24 hours when I stopped seeding, because I'm not running 24/7 due to electricity costs.. fuck'em! if you can't wait for the 1 person that seed the torrent to come back online for a few hours, go look somewhere else!)

Hi Travis!

Zomb and Trader's Den and Dimeadozen all have a bit of PJ. They are not dedicated to PJ but you can probably find what you want between the three of them.

:)

thetradersden.org is the best place to get new pearl jam releases. it is the place where the people who make pearl jam dvd's have been seeding them.

few things worth getting from TTD....

Pearl Jam Minneapolis 98 (2cam)
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/sho ... =pearl+dvd

milan 96 (2cam)
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/sho ... =pearl+dvd

new york night 1 (2cam master)
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/sho ... =pearl+dvd

new orleans 93 (night 2, COMPLETE)
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/sho ... =pearl+dvd

college park 92 (MASTER Upgrade)
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/sho ... =pearl+dvd

mother love bone bumbershoot 89 (ok i seeded this at dime first, but its on ttd)
http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/sho ... +love+bone

these are just some examples.

jamriver has most these now too, but they started at TTD and usually get way better speeds.

oh ttd does not enforce ratios either, which seems to be a good thing for most people.
