Okay this is interesting, I'm really glad it turns out you'd started a thread on this show, pb. See I'm a huge fan of the BBC series "Hustle" following a small crew of con men in present day London. In fact this one female friend of mine, it's like we seem to be the ONLY people I know actually watching it, I started a thread about it on another board and we've literally been the only posters in it Anyway, based on a couple previews I saw of "Leverage", I started to get the feeling it might be in the same kind of realm (plus while channel surfing recently I saw like 2 minutes of an episode where they're discussing "their mark"). So I brought this up to her, no she hasn't watched it yet, but I told her I was going to check it out.
And now you bringing up the Ocean's 11 comparison, that just gets me even more excited. I LOVE stories about capers, con men, heists, etc etc. (unfortunately the very short-lived NBC series from a couple years back called "Heist" with Doughray Scott was short-lived for a reason, it was absolutely awful) So I'm shortly going to DL the first season and take a look.

Well I'm into the 2nd episode now, the writing/dialog definitely isn't as good as HUSTLE, particularly with the black guy it's a little too obvious they're going for the typical Will Smith kind of flavor of his MIB/ID4-ish attitude, the whole "awwww HELLLL no!" thing, and that's kinda tired. Like they actually have him say the line at one point "I think I just threw up in my mouth a little" and I rolled my eyes
But the plotting is there, it's fun enough to keep me around.
