because of lying and hiding

i know people into me in spite of my personality..

my step dad makes me angry because my sister and i have never gotten along with him and my mom's admitted she never loved him... married him for the money. on one instance, he dragged me by my hair because i didn't want to go. he once told my sister when she was a child that she's way prettier than her mom and it freaked her out. now she has a baby and tonight he was holding him. it was ok then the baby cried and he said the baby's head hit his elbow. i filled with rage and felt i had to hold it in. i wanted to punch him in the face for about 3 hours.

i wonder if punching him in the face would solve anything. we have this tension between us. it's as if he's always taunting me, getting under my skin. should i punch him in the face? now that i'm grown up..? maybe he never really was so bad.... maybe it's all in my mind... all these old frustrations are coming back to me... i've been away for a while, you see....

Punching him in the face won't help much, not long term anyways.

You're a grown man, you don't have to do anything like that at all. If he enjoys getting under your skin try and find ways to stop him from getting under there. People are judged by how they behave, you and he both. Be a bigger man than he is - doesn't sound like it would be too hard.

Better to tell him what you think of him, if you think he's worth the effort. Good luck.

Because if the answer's yes, you'll risk alienating your mother if you punch him out.
