Any show during their 96 tour is immense. And same with anything before that, just pure rock energy.

1998 saw really cool percussion coming in for the adore tour

2000 is very nice, a lot of the songs have been reworked and go nicely with the whole farewelll tour idea.

One thing i just love about SP is how each tour they usually change a song like today and rework it.

Forgot to add the 99 tour is good too, loads of machina stuff.

But anyway yeah go from like 91-96. All cool there.

I recomend Brixton 96 and Reading festival 95 especially.

Also for 2000, live at the valby and the penultimate show are fm.

All items in bold are on the Live Music Archive (see URL earlier in this thread). There really aren't any soundboards (at least, that I know of) for the new era save for the officially released ones on their website. The ones I listed are just the essentials; there are a lot more, especially from 1998 and 2000. Of course, many of the best Smashing Pumpkins shows are found on audience recordings. Here are some AMAZING and ESSENTIAL shows; I've rated the sound on a scale from 1-10.

05/20/96 Sydney, Australia (7.0)
07/05/96 Philadelphia, PA, USA (8.5)

No love for 10/23/95 Chicago? Mellon Collie release party guys. FM soundboard too.

That show is great until they MANGLE "Mayonaise". MANGLE it. Plus, I'll never forgive them for not playing "Rocket", "Hummer", "Siva" and "Muzzle" like they did four nights earlier in Peoria. With that sound, those would have been AMAZING. That Peoria show is probably my favorite SP show ever. Setlist:

Porcelina Of The Vast Oceans
Jellybelly
Zero
Today
Disarm
Fuck You
Rocket
Thru The Eyes Of Ruby
Bullet With Butterfly Wings
Hummer
Geek U.S.A.
Cherub Rock

encore 1:
Mayonaise
X.Y.U.

encore 2:
Muzzle
Siva

Now, if only there were a soundboard of that show. As it is, the audience recording sounds nice.

They had technical problems early on, would they have been able to squeeze those songs in?

These are my favorite Mayos:

Also, do you know of any soundboards containing the new rock version of I Am One they did on the '94 tour (besides Viewphoria)?

I wonder if someone can come up with a list of all Billy Corgan solo acoustic performances?

I know there is 1998-12-12 and 01/09/1991
