I just finally heard some of their material the other day... really good raw punk/garage sound. How the hell did they never achieve more success???

i've given up asking myself that very question about all sorts of bands that i've really liked. the short of it is that they were too combustible as a group (too much in-fighting).

Sugar were pretty popular around here.

If you can score bootlegs, score them. Husker Du was fucking phenomenal live.
