easily one of the most brilliant comics i have witnessed in my lifetime

back in college i had to do a public speaking assignment in front of the class about some type of emotion.

i went with loss, and did my story about my friend the farside whos father decided he was no longer good enough so he ended his life (it was done more as a personal friend than a comic strip, but none the less, earned me an A)

i have so many favorite ones that stick out in my head as being great, so lets have a thread on them

the only comic strip worth reading.

i'm not sure if it is directly responsible for my warped sense of humour, or if it just happened to be perfectly tuned to it, but it's on a whole other level compared to other comic strips.

I always liked this one:

One of the only comic strips worth reading. I'm a fan of Far Side and Peanuts.

I loved this strip. Up until a few years ago, my family kept up a long tradition of giving me a Far Side day to day desk calender for Christmas. I still thumb through my far side books ever now and then. Great thread.



The expression on the dinosaurs' faces are priceless. Like they are getting away with something.

My friend Emily occasionally sends me stuff in the mail, and it's usually accompanied by miscellaneous extras like local advertisements, magazine cutouts, newspaper clippings and the like. She usually modifies them somehow to make them more humorous.

One time she sent me this:




The original caption says something like "Hot enough for ya?" or something to that effect. But I like this one better.

Greatest comic ever. Some great ones in here already, especially that mountain goat one.

I prefer Calvin & Hobbes, but only slightly.

Me too. The comic pages haven't been the same since these two hung it up.

me three. calvin and hobbes by a hare. especially with some of the big sunday ones.

C & H is great, but Farside is clearly superior.

As for current classic print comics, Dilbert's pretty great.

I was introduced to this comic very early in life, and like someone already said, it probably affected my sense of humour.

I'm pretty sure I've seen every Larson cartoon. And the best one BY FAR is "Nature's way of saying 'do not touch'". Can anyone find that one?
