This is why I'm willing to go into massive amounts of debt to fulfill my dream of being a professor, because I never want to have a job I don't love, and I love teaching.

Do whatever you have to do to get into something you'll like doing. That's the greatest advice I've ever heard. Happiness > Money, and when you don't have much of either in the workplace, well, that just plain sucks balls.

Massive amounts of debt suck too though, so make sure what you love to do will also get you out of it eventually.

I plan on marrying rich.

I'm triple majoring--English, Philosophy, and Marrying Rich. Every Monday and Wednesday, for my MR class, I lurk around the med school for prospective wives. I'm really looking for a radiologist, because they make a ton of money, are usually superficial and as such pretty attractive, and don't have to be that smart, which means they'll be impressed by my HUGE intellect and willing to let me live off their income.

I hear you on that. This is the first job I've had (well, it's kind of a career) that I really love. I have liked other jobs, but there were times I didn't want to go in. I look forward to going in now which is good, since the pay sucks hairy ostrich balls.

i've been questioning my own career path lately. i'm about halfway done with a master's in political science (political theory concentration), but i'm thinking i like psychology much, much more than i do political science or any related topic. i'd need to go back and do a few classes at a community college to get into the master's program here, but it wouldn't be very tough, and i think the brain, behavior, etc, is something that really, really interests me. i'm only 26, so if i'm going to do it, i better fucking do it. plus, my job would pay for it provided i stay here.

There are no attractive guys in my major. REALLY smart, but not hot :\
