Its something I like to do. Instead of wasting a little bit everyday, I waste a long at once.
I bought a carbon fiber bass neck from a british company regarded for making the best carbon fiber necks in the world. No more wood affected by weather! I remain a shitty bassist though.

Kinda reminded me of the guy below...that's like owning a guitar of Townshends or Hendrix and only being able to play Oasis songs on it...get some skills& really deserve that cool new neck (unless it's the same guy?!!!)
(anyways he clearly knows nothing about instruments if hes buying shitty carbon parts.. unless he wants to be in Duran Duran or A-ha or some 80s covers band)

I intend to practice more.
Just want a neck that wont be affected by humidity and doesnt have dead spots.

look, i play guitar and unles you live in a desert or barren icey landscape, these things dont really matter. Sounds to me like you're blaming those conditions on poor playing. I swear to you, lessons will pick your game up no end. it's a whole new world. Get over to learning from a real player instead of saving your money to waste(and blame) it on trivial crap. just a heads up.
