or 10,000 billionths of a degree is the lowest temp claimed to have been recorded. now absolute zero is unreachable in the universe because if you had that power u could freeze time, without movement time is irrelevant. i think the only time it could have theoretically been reached is before the big bang.

so how close did these scientists come to stopping time? well they explained it this way. say wherever you are standing is room temp at 72 degrees fahrenheit and as you travel the temperature keeps decreasing until you reach absolute zero or -459 degrees fahrenheit, which is represented by a line drawn on the ground 5,000 miles away . well 100 pico kelvin would be the width of a pencil tip from that line. the were pretty fucking close.

it just boggles the mind what humans have been able to do and figure out about this existence we are in. i mean could there really be intelligent life that has come about as we have and has made scientific/mathmatical sense of our surroundings? i feel there might be a dumb blonde out there if we are lucky.

We should all forget the American System (Fahrenheit), forget the Metric System (Celcius), and all go with measuring in Kelvin.

I love KELVIN.

and another thing, if one speck of matter reached absolute zero, everything touching it would freeze too, setting off a chain reaction that would freeze the entire universe. it would happen faster than the time it takes your brain to tell your mouth to open and say 'wow'

Kelvin and Celsius have the same value, they just have a different start point. A change of 10K is the same of 10C.
