the fiance and i were sitting around watching old episodes of mad men last night and we started hearing a bunch of banging on the door of the downstairs apartment. so i went to look out the window and noticed a car circling around the building several times, looking suspicious. then we saw three guys loading some electronics in the trunk of a different car. to top it off, we saw them break into a jaguar and take off with that.

needless to say, this sucks. instead of enjoying my sunday, i'm spending it trying to find a new place to live. the cops told me that it looked like they broke in to steal a bunch of dope. turns out the folks living there were/are dealers. on top of that, an old guy lives there and i always see him with an oxygen tank. the cops said that there were no less than 15 oxygen tanks in the place. not a big deal, except that he's a smoker (of many things, it would appear), and oxygen and fire are not the best combination.

fuck apartment living.

Actually, they are. Pretty difficult to start a fire without oxygen.

Seriously. I think I'm going to move into my oldest brother's house and I'm excited. Will be nice to have some space and a backyard.

went and talked to the manager today. she refused to waive the $300 transfer fee for moving to a different apartment in the complex for the remainder of the lease. she gave me some story about the police report not being "that bad," and that it's "policy" to charge the transfer fee.

fuck that shit. i'm not giving them $300 out of principle. i'll use the $300 to buy another fucking handgun to defend myself before i give it to them.
