ok Reid Australia day is a celebration of how awesome it is to be australian. It is a public holiday that we have so we can drink beers, watch fireworks, have barbies and whinge about how hot it is.

Look, we all know the internet isn't real. We also all know that Animal Planet isn't real. And those are the only two places that I've ever met anyone who claims to be from Australia. Q.E.D. Australia is about as real as Oz.

kangaroos can be quite dangerous so the closest i have come is hitting a gold ball into a herd of roos at the golf course and deciding that it is just better to let them have it rather than going to get it. I have never actually seen a wombat up close. i have seen one or two koalas but they are also not always friendly so i have never slipped one in my handbag and taken it home.
Unfortunately the one aussie native that i know all too well is the old red back spider.
