Circa 1998-2002? I don't remember exactly when. The website that gave away $50,000 or more if you can click on the pixel on the tree where the money was "hidden"? Someone here must remember it.
Also, remember iwon.com where they would pay people for using their search engine? This is the kind of shit that we'll tell our kids one day. Or that website "cyberrebates" that went bankrupt and all these people who spent thousands on 'free' goods became creditors and got nothing? http://news.cnet.com/2010-1071-281467.html

Son, there was a day when I used to be able to buy $10.25 worth of shit from pets.com for 25 cents, shipped. Those were the days.

It seemed like it was so easy. You could see what pixel you were clicking and for some reason I never thought there were 10 billion pixels and it just seemed like at any moment I'd win $50,000.
How much was the jackpot back in the day? I think it was $50,000. I can't find the original site online.
P.S. Weren't you 10 or something?
