Lick the dirt off a larger one's feet (FINALLY, A FACTUAL STATEMENT)
They don't push (YES THEY DO), don't crowd (YES THEY DO)
Congregate until they're much too loud (YES THEY DO)
Fuck to procreate till they are dead (YES THEY DO)
Drink the blood of their so called best friend (NOT SURE ABOUT RATS DRINKING BLOOD, OR EVEN HAVING BEST FRIENDS, BUT EVEN IF THEY DON'T, NEITHER DO HUMANS)

They don't scurry when something bigger comes their way (YES THEY DO)
Don't pack themselves together and run as one (YES THEY DO)
Don't shit where they're not supposed to (YES THEY DO, BUT TO BE FAIR FROM THE RAT'S POINT OF VIEW THEY'VE NEVER REALLY BEEN TOLD WHERE THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO SHIT)

I think you fail to see the whole song is an ironic statement.

And I assume at least you know what he song is really about.

Before you make any of these silly statements about the song, really read between the lines first to know what the song is really all about. I'm not going to sit here and define the song for you, but lets just say it's a great song with a lot of creative writting behind it.

Err the song is about Rats and the words don't make a bit of sense. Well I'd love to stay and chat but I've got a hole that needs lineing with a dead ones bread.

To sum it up it's about dirty politicans and backstabbers. "RATS"

If only he'd included that line in the song then all this confusion could have been avoided.

I've always thought of "Don't shit where they're not supposed to don't take what's not theirs" as one line, referring to the old fashioned habit of some burglars to leave something smelly behind before they leave.
And no matter the lyrics, it's a fun song. RATS!
