Eight in a row. Finally seem to be pulling it together. A Miami/Detroit matchup in the East finals would be great. Of course, I just completely jinxed my team.
One night me and two other buddies were really bored so we decided to play the NBA Finals (at the time) with the Lakers-Pistons matchup in NBA Street 2. Me and one guy took the Pistons and the other guy took the Lakers. The Lakers are unstoppable in that game because of Shaq. Shaq can mow pretty much anybody down low and Kobe hits everything. Long story short, we got down 3 games to 0 and ended up coming back, winning 4 games in a row to beat the Lakers. Maybe the greatest video game achievement ever. I don't know. But I was eternally grateful to Ben Wallace and his fro after that.

This is my only real tie to the Pistons:

finally some love for the pistons. most everyone is talking about the west or at least the heat of the east, but i don't mind the team being under the radar . tayshaun's been playing really well this past month. thursday's match up at the suns will test their mettle against a marquee team, on the road, after a string of wins,..

Funny how you come around only when your home teams are winning. When I stick up for the Pistons, Red Wings, Lions and Tigers, you're no where to be found to be back me up (and God knows I need it). As far as I'm concerned, you're no Detroit fan. Now be gone with you.

the lions will win at least 5 games next season. how's that for support?

Considering that they did that this year, that's not too supportive. How about: the Tigers will finish in second place in the AL Central this year?

well, that was sarcastic support from me initially. but if they can get on the lucky side with injuries, and find a steady passer, i think the lions can vye heavily for their division. same with tigers, avoid injuries, and ofcourse their pitching is going to have a big eye on them. hopefully percival will return to his old form. Tigers 2nd place finish? sure, i'll have your back on that.

You expect me to back up some lousy UofM fan? Besides, why would I make posts like "Sweet, MSU just fucking sucked a big one against Indiana. Way to go Chris Hill. See why Neitzel is starting now?" That wouldn't make a lot of sense.
I'll support your Tigers prediction. I think if their pitching can keep it together, they'll be right up there.

you're talking about possibly next season i think, when a certain player is back and is worrying less about a rap career.
and they still wont be. Jackson is a head case. Artest is a head case. they have no talented size other than O'Neal... and Carlisle will have to be gone before they make the finals.

last night's game
Phoenix 100, Detroit 97
good game. nice job to nash, while struggling from the floor, still managed to lift his team with his playmaking (his most valuable asset, imo) to victory.

Interestingly enough, they overcame a 10-point fourth quarter deficit without Steve Nash even in the game. Between those two teams, it's all about who controls the pace. 4th quarter is was all running, and Phoenix wasted Detroit in that area.
