He claimed, at the last debate, that five bills had passed in 20 years thet John Kerry authored.
He actually passed 11. This is an outrage!
Maybe he forgot about the Marine Mammals Appropriation Act
Or the joint resolution designating a week in October of 1989 as "World Population Awareness Week" ("wow, this world has one hell of a population, eh?")
Or the joint resolution designating Nov 13, 1992 as "Vietnam Veterans Memorial 10th Anniversary Day"
Or the joint resolution designating September 18, 1192 as "National POW/MIA recognition day"
Or the bill to re-designate a federal Building as the "Frederick C. Murphy Federal Center"
Kerry was a busy little bee, doing important work.
Maybe he forgot about the Marine Mammals Appropriation Act
I believe that's the "Marine Mammals Protection Act", and I fail to see how it's unimporant. It's very important. To state otherwise is absolutely ridiculous.

OK ... I'll half-heartedly give you that. I guess.
But when the major issues facing America are war and terrorism and death, I fail how to see protecting Marine Mammals is a great way to pad the resume.
I guess you could argue, that if you can protect marine mammals, you can protect something a little bit higher up the evolutionary ladder.

Uhh, first of all, the Marine Mammals Protection Act Ammendment was in 1994.
Second of all.. you are suggesting that we shouldn't be looking at any other bills right now other than those that deal with war or terrorism? Tell me you are joking.
Third of all, can't you make a single thread for yourself and just put all of these nonsense posts in it? We don't need to read every anti-Kerry article by some Joe Schmoe that you come across.

wow. what a touchy bastard.
This post isn't an an article by Joe Schmoe. It's an observation by me. I thought this board was for posting facts and opinions about facts. I guess not.
or maybe it's just for posting facts and opinions YOU agree with.

What important things did Bush do before being elected president?

he made texas the most polluted state! Gave tax breaks to the gas and oil industries, he got rid of accountability in spills and other things, vetoed the patients bill of rights, had the most uninsured children in the country and next to highest uninsured women....oh ...i well i guess he didn't do much of nothing

I believe Kerry was more of an investigator in the Senate. He helped nomalize relations with Vietnam, called attention to Reagan's good friend Noriega, and helped bring the Iran-Contra deal to light (though I'm not sure Republicans would be happy to hear that). He's also had his name on countless environmental initiatives.
While Bush was coked up and drunk, Kerry served in Vietnam.
While Bush was coked up and drunk, Kerry served as Lieutenant Gov. of Mass.
While Bush was coked up and drunk, Kerry served as Senator.
While Bush was coked up, drunk, and working on his father's election, Kerry was working within the U.S. government, in many cases on a bipartisan level.
Of course, even though Bush was quite busy, what with his coking and drinking, he still managed to bankrupt a business or two, pollute the hell out of Texas, and serve as governor overseeing the most executions any U.S. governor has ever overseen.

all those other things i could care less about, but this hits home to me. this is one of the major reasons ill be voting for him
Ahh, the death penalty; where, nationwide, one in seven people sitting on death row are found innocent and released. Kind of makes you wonder how many innocent people sitting on death row weren't found out in time.
State sanctioned murder is still murder.

you say this like its a bad thing, in my mind, it is not
Killing innocent people is not a bad thing?
I suppose revenge is a dish best served cold. And, when you can't find the one responsible, take your revenge out on someone who "fits the bill."
wow, didnt think youd be that easy to convert
Shit. Convert is a mild word. Now I'm starting to think you're not going far enough. If we gas the whole state, were sure to get everyone who deserves it; some who, under condition of living, will eventually deserve it; and many who, while not technically deserving of it, are the kind of people I don't want around anyway - or at least look like the kind of people I don't want around anyway. As for the rest, hey, it's Texas. Fuck 'em.

What the fuck? Exectutions serve NO purpose whatsoever. I'm ashamed the U.S. stilll have the death penalty, and furthermore that my home state is known for killing the most people.

The most important issues facing America are not War and Terrorism and Death, by any means. They are very importnat issues, but to say that they override everything else will only hurt America.
