Anyone pick this game up today? Supposedly, the game is incredibly hard. Various publications have stated it to be the toughest action game to come out in a few years. I'm about to find out for myself. I'll post feedback later after I've had a chance to play it.

I thought the first one was hard on normal difficulty. Even that giant tarantula on the first level was a toughie!

Toughest action game? I thought Contra for genesis was it (mercenaries?).

I've completed the first 4 chapters, and it's pretty good so far. I'm playing on Normal difficulty mode and it's challenging, but if you focus and put your reflexes to use, it's not so bad. Let's see how it progresses from here.

Yeah, I just started playing these games. I'm working my way through the first one.

i thought it was one of the best games i ever played on ps2. if you've played the first two, it is light years ahead of both in pretty much every area i can think of. i played through the series, and the third one made it worth it. i'll be picking up the 4th when it comes out early next year.

has anyone here played the non-special edition one? i have a couple questions.
