6’2”, 198 lb. LD Philip Samuelsson of the Chicago Steel (USHL) has committed to Boston College. Samuelsson will be arriving at the Heights this coming fall, and is hoping to win some fans in a city where his father, former NHL defenseman and current Phoenix Coyotes assistant coach Ulf Samuelsson, is still vilified for his career-ending hit on Bruins wing Cam Neely

Apparently, he injured himself trying to take a cheap shot. I do not feel sorry for him in the slightest.
The best man lost, and you do not like it.
You do realize that Ulf was wearing white when said cheap shot took place, right?
Neely stated that the career-ending injury occurred when he tried to hit Ulf and apparently missed due to Ulf's ability to see him coming and to duck (0:37 mark). I would say that means he ruined his own career by making a poor decision.

Sure. Neely didn't say he was trying to take a cheap shot, though, just hit him in the corner.
