If I have two totally different songs with the same name and I want to put them on my player it won't let me and asks me to change the name of the second one. So I end up having to change the name by adding a period or some sort of symbol on the end of the second one so that it is different from the first one.

Does anyone know how to tag it so that I can have two songs with the same name?

No it's not the same file name. if they are by different artists then the file name would be totally different.

anyway, i managed to figure out the solution.

What was the solution?

By the way, I upgraded to one of the 30 GB DJ's and am very glad I did so. It's half the weight of the original 20 GB DJ, and comes with more accessories than the original did, all for 120 bucks less. It's now right on par with the iPod, only cheaper. I like the scroll wheel thingie much more than the click wheel.

i talked to some dell support guy and he said to make different playlists for what i put on. If I just upload 2000 tracks to the thing it's on one huge playlist. If I break it up I can avoid the repeats.

So now you have two of them?

That's exactly what I said to you today!!!

Yes, I have two. I'm using one for a portable hard drive for files I can take to work, though I'll probably end up just selling it.
