Ya, Rocker came to mind....I thought the first episode was great...
This was great, looking forward to more. I died laughing when McBride stood up in the pool, facing his brother, silent, for like ten seconds. It's one of those improv things that McBride does that I can't explain why it's funny, it just is.
mongoloid mike had me crying. i also like the end on the jet ski. that said, this show will get thin really quick, as everything will ferrell touches does.

The scene where he was walking down the high school hallway in slow motion with the kids cheering him on was great when it cut to reality and no one was paying attention to him. I'll give it another shot, but that's about it.
It seems like various actors and writers have been hyping Danny McBride as this great comedic genius. I really don't see it. He had a karate dojo bit on Conan a while back that got only a few confused laughs, and he was tolerable in Tropic Thunder. I didn't see Pineapple Express. I'm just expecting this guy to knock me out based on hearsay and it doesn't seem like its going to happen.

holy shit that was him as the KING OF THE DEMO? I thought that was real.
I caught up with this on 'On Demand', And it's been funny as hell so far. I admit that I like Sandler/Ferrell type humor. But getting past the John Rocker thing, we all know this guy.
My favorite line so far "...And then, you take a little time off from being unstoppable...just to...regroup...and relax..."

There are a bazillion hilarious moments in the first five episodes. And while some of the show is totally lame and poorly done, the funny shit is off the hook.
