I think the Radiohead way, or even better: the NIN way, could work very well for them. First you have the devoted fans who will do anything no matter what (look at how much money people are willing to spend for the new Ten). And then you get a lot of sympathy from people who are not fans but want to support this kind of "fuck big corporations" initiatives. Of course when more and more "big" bands will do it this way it won't have the same effect, but if you're among the first you'll benefit a lot.

I don't see the problem with not donating any money to the band. They put it up for free didn't they?

I listen to the radio / watch music tv stations everyday and I've never heard this chicc sing
