wrong people.

It's like people have these righteous moments where they voice they stand for something and usually the person or thing they stand for is mediocre and/or in bad taste.

I'd rather we didn't try to relate this to anything specific.

But what I'm saying is this thread isn't about you directly, not even close. It's more about the people in general who are patting people on the back for the wrong things. Basically regardless of how your response went you were shitting on someone and nothing is lamer then getting patted on the back for it.

How was I shitting on him? Because I responded to his post carefully and assessed the his points level-headedly without saying "this is gay" or "shut up noob" like he was expecting (or perhaps even wanting)?

If posting like that is viewed as "shitting on" there is no wonder why most people feel there is a lack of intelligent discussion here.

I understand what you are saying. But you clearly use me as an example and that is what I am commenting on. In all honesty, I would rather this topic not involve me but you have seen fit to allow it and I have every right to contest it.

The fact that you judged something I said and deemed that I am shitting on someone, without even reading the whole thing, is arrogant.

Some of it might have been a little unnecessary, certainly not all strictly professional but yeah I don't really have a problem with it. I'm sure you find some parts of what I said unnecessary. Just as I may find some things you say unnecessary, and some people may judge this whole topic or entire forum unnecessary. For example, I'm not sure why your remarks on professionality, or you personally having a problem with something are necessarily linked to something being "shitting" or not.

I am fine with letting this go, but I will not apologize to you. For starters I never even called you a shitty poster. Even if I had done so, I would not apologize to you as you did not apologize to me for assuming something about my post and passing judgment on me. The fact that you asked me to apologize is ridiculous.

In light of this I still view you as arrogant, but why should my personal opinion matter to you.
