So, me and my buddy were talking about how we would love to see a ten club members only show in a small venue, something like a general admission club with a capacity of about 1000. I was thinking that they would probably mix up the set list a lot for such a show, so I made one up that I think would be pretty sweet and I thought I'd share it. I tried to stray from the standard set lists played these days, but but also tried to incorporate some aspects of typical PJ set lists (such as 3 sets, etc). I tried to incorporate songs from all albums, although some are weighed in more than others. I know that this set list is a far cry from realistic, but fuck it, I love listening to it and pretending I'm actually at such a show, you should too!

Long Road
Not For You
Faithfull
Unemployable
Breath
Nothing as it Seems
Sad
Mankind
All Night
Daughter
In Hiding
Cropduster
Marker in the Sand
In My Tree
Present Tense
Nothingman
Given to Fly
Animal
Hail, Hail
Save You
----------------------
Indifference
Oceans
Hard to Imagine
Light Years
Rearviewmirror
-----------------------
Corduroy
Life Wasted
Do the Evolution
Once
Black

P.S. Sorry if there is already a thread started that is along these lines

if that was a setlist for a ten club only show, the bitching and moaning about it would be epic. aside from the inclusion of breath and the place you put oceans, it looks too much like a regular pj setlist. a show like this would need tremor christ and an unplayed lost dog or two to even be considered a good fan club show by most people who post on this board. i'd love to be at show, but since it's a fantasy, i'd add strangest tribe and smile.

Yeah I guess you are right, I thought I was mixing it up a bit, but really I guess the only main thing different here is the exclusion of Even Flow, Alive, Jeremy, Ledbetter, Betterman, etc. which was the main thing I was going for.

I forgot all about that Vic show! Probably because the set list didn't really do that much for me. The main set is pretty killer but the only songs I really enjoy out of those 3 encores are Low Light and Indifference. Definitely would have loved to be there though.

Why not 3 hours? Beck played Sex Law's with Bender on the Futurama show!

I don't see how a TenC only show would be without the following:
Tremor Christ
Otherside
Fatal
Strangest Tribe
Hold On

If you're going for something truly special, you'd have to keep away from all that is considered "regular". And yes, Daughter is included in that "regular" list.

why do rare bad songs, that aren't even good on albums, need to be played for a fan club only show?
Oh, and 1000 people isn't enough to hold a 10c only show anymore...
Something like Constitution Hall size is nice...2700 or so...not a bad seat anywhere in places that small...unless you are vertically challenged of course.

I enjoy I Got Shit and all, but not enough to be played twice. Plus, the live versions just don't do the studio version justice. IMHO.

You may bring in a guest like Chris Cornel for Hunger Strike or Reach Down. Or sing some MLB-Stardog Champion or the classic Crown of Thorns.

Any fanwank show worth its salt definitely needs some MLB and a guest appearance from an old grunger.

I'd love to hear Aye Davanita, No Way, Of the Girl, Help, Help and Rival at a show.

I actually prefer them to pull out the special stuff in some rare places with less "too-cool-for-school" fans. Play a fan club only show in Boston, play some greatest hits set there, see the massive disappointment on the various PJ boards and then break out an insane setlist in a place like Marseille and see them all slag off the show because it doesn't sound good on the fucking bootleg.

*before the mass criticism lands on my back, any relation between the above and reality is, of course, solely based on coincidence.

Actually (as a perosonal belief) I think the best version of I Got Shit is Melbourne Park in 1998. It's a little faster, Jack plays the drums a bit differently, they almost seem fuller, so to speak. I've yet to hear a better version of that song.
