Man, how do I even begin? Lets start here...

So I haven't been drinking this year and due to that fact have not really been going out much. As a result I haven't been meeting many girls to allow me to gain insertion into their girl parts. I was trying too hard to find myself a girl and recently decided that I am no longer looking, just gonna go with the flow and let something happen naturally.

I'm at this benefit for a murdered police officer here last Sunday, no drinking, no flirting, just hanging out having a good time with my friends. A really attractive girl pulls me aside and starts a conversation with me. After chatting for at least an hour she asks me out, I accept and we exchange info. We end up hanging out for a few more hours and had a great time. The only thing that was a little out there was that she was pretty drunk. I could tell because she was forgetting things I told her and ask me the same questions later on.

We chat during the week over txt and end up going out last night, I meet her at her place and we walk to dinner at a spot in her neighborhood. She looks phenominal, we have a great time at dinner, I have a great vibe. She is clearly into me. We sit at the table and chat for an hour after we finish eating. I ask if she wants to go somewhere else, since we clearly clicked. She suggests we go back to her place. I love the idea. I am not even looking to get laid, I am into this girl and just want to spend some time alone with her.

We go back and start chatting. (of course, she had a roomate who is drunk on the couch....after a little while she goes up to bed and proceeds to start fighting with her BF on the phone). In the meantime, we get to chatting and it gets into dating. She tells me she goes on a ton of first dates but cant seem to meet any guys she likes beyond that. I tell her I have only been on 5 my entire life. She asks why and I say because I was with someone for 10 years. She then asks why we didnt ever get married or have kids. I tell her we did both.

Here's the kicker, we had a 20 minute conversation about this the night we met BEFORE she asked me out. Clearly she does not remember this conversation and things clearly get awkward at this point. It was lust like someone slammed the brakes on all the momentum we built throughout the night. I can tell she has a definite hangup about guys w kids. She asks me a bunch of questions about my situation, I answer all honestly. We are both clearly jolted, the roomate is upstairs crying and yelling on the phone. So I get this..."I don't want to make it seem like I am trying to throw you out because you are separated with a kid but I have to go deal with her and we have to get up at 8am tomorrow" (a fact given before the wife/baby conversation). At that point she puts her hands on my thigh and was kind of giving a rub...I feel very overwhelmed with panic and cant wait to get out of there. I get up and start to the door, we stop for a little smooch and she says "I will call you tomorrow" and I leave.

The entire ride home I am like "WTF" to myself and pretty much think things have been blown. I was gonna just text her and ask if my situation was a problem. I decide to just go safe "had a great time, would love to get together again, have a good night...hope your friend is ok". Got a text back this morning "i had a good time too! don't worry it was just drunk girl drama". I responded "cool, have a good time today..talk to you later". Nothing back as of yet. Not sure if I should try and get back in touch w her or wait for her to contact me.

What sucks is that everything seemed to go perfectly until the little situation at the end. I guess I just wait a couple days and see what happens. I don't get chicks sometimes.

for what its worth, i went out to a bar with some college buddies who're in town for spring break, and i've come to the decision that bar chicks are not entirely but almost wholly retarded.
