Does anyone know who Eddie wrote "Habit" about? Layne Staley possibly?

More about the general specific to borrow a phrase. heroin was and still is a problem in Seattle apparently.

I thought I read somewhere that Ed wrote it about himself after he took up smoking.

for some reason i always thought that came out around the time/was somewhat inspired by his sessions with mike watt... prolly wrong though...

borrowed the "speaking as a child of the..." line from watt's against the 70s.... and they even performed habit during mike's ringspiel gigs

such a great song....when was the last time this was performed live?

The pinkpop 2000 version rocks if only because of the superior sound quality from the video

It's such an underrated song. The ending of it, that last jam at the tail end just kills it!

That Mike Watt story I think has been mentioned before. I think you are right about it. Thanks.

is it really since 2005? I think I saw it at 3 of my 6 2005 shows; Not sure about that. I loved it every time. Such a shame they started playing that crap of the last album above songs like Habit.
