I think that last season was an anomaly because the the biggest thing going on in the world was the presidential election, and it wasn't very funny. Well, the McCain campaign was fucking hilarious, but it was just SO retarded that it left no room for parody. There just wasn't enough normal everyday American stupidity in the public consciousness to really shred in the South Park style.

I thought they just grew complacent with everyone sucking them off at every turn because of how awesome the show had been.

I didn't care for this one.

i didn't think it was as hilarious as most of you are saying, but the bit about selling sex to young girls and also christians buying into the belief that the boys are "pure" was pretty spot on. a majority of girls my sisters age (14 or so) think they're "hot" and thus buy all their shitty merchandise. which, the same is true for any teen sex symbol (britney, etc) so it's not just limited to them...but i liked the criticism of exploiting kids for money under the guise of pure christian values
